Get the Creative Operations newsletter

Once upon a time we had blogs.
They were wonky and weird and cool and fun and then things got corporate and became way less fun. Internet marketing!
Woof.
So the aim of this newsletter is to be a bit wonky and definitely leaning into weird and hopefully useful for people who are freelancing or doing independent business a little differently.
Here’s what that’ll look like:
Ruminations & ponderations
Less of an opinion piece and more of a way to poke at ideas and ask interesting questions. Sometimes the questions will be big, but not always. Not a fan of “authority” over here. We’re more interested in exploration and conversation.
Tactical practicalities
Tips and simple ideas to help get stuff done. If a promising piece of software catches our attention we’ll drop it here.
A note from our CEO or a word from Wolfie
If you haven’t met the team yet, you might want to hit our About page. There will be occasional cat photos (although to be fair, they might be more than occasional). Our CEO is the resident Doing Life Right expert.
Wolfie runs the Opinions desk. Do you ever want a persona who can say the things you’re thinking but aren’t sure how they’ll land? Your own version of a Wolfie might do the trick, even if they don’t attain cartoon character status.
Everything here is composed by a human, who started writing in childhood, which means the Pleistocene era, when the dinosaurs were all claymation (please tell me you caught that pun). We snort in the direction of large language models.
So that’s us. We aim for a weekly issue, sent on Friday mornings from Canada, brief and to the point. No spam.
You'll get a confirmation email when you sign up, so apologies for the extra click, but we prefer to stop jerks from throwing your email address at things you don't want.
Don't see a confirmation email? Check your promotions or spam folder.
